What is Counter Connection?

Counter Connection is a network of Point of Sale Terminals located in a variety of retail establishments (Delis, Cafes, Super Markets, Fast Food, etc.)  throughout Southern Ontario and the New York City area.  Each day, as customers complete their purchases at these retail locations, Counter Connection features unbeatable deals on the best stuff to do, see, eat, and buy in and around the city. These deals are presented to the customer on large format digital screens right at the sale counter.  Customers interact and purchase the deal using their smart phones.

Do I have to sign up to get the deal?

Nope – Counter Connection is NOT a subscription service that once you sign up you are presented with offers each and every day whether you like it or not.   Counter Connection is 100% opt-in.  You see it, you like it, you buy it!  It’s that simple! In the event you think the deal is so good you want to tell all of your friends and family you can let them know using the simple social networking tools built in to your Counter Connection Voucher.

I like a deal – how do I get it?

When you are completing your purchase at one of our retail locations, you will see a deal presented on the large digital display.  If you like the offer, you can buy it in three ways.

1. Use your smart phone to scan the QR code using a QR code reader application.  These applications are mostly free and can be downloaded from you smart phone provider.  Once you scan the QR Code, the deal details are presented and a payment window accepts your credit card for payment.  Once it is authorized, the uniquely serialized voucher is immediately delivered to your email address.
2. You can text the special code presented on the digital display to ‘288288’  for example to access the deal you would send the text message ‘DEAL1’ to 288288.  You would then receive a response that will include a link to the offer.  You can click on the link using your smart phone and access the deal or you can enter the link address in you computers browser to access the deal online.
3. You can retain your sales receipt which will include the details on  how to buy the deal.  Follow the instructions.

Do I need to use my Counter Connection Voucher the same day I buy it?

No. Many Counter Connection Vouchers have an expiration date, but you never have to use them on the date of purchase.

I bought a Counter Connection Voucher- how do I use it?

Once you’re charged, you’ll receive an email with an electronic, uniquely serialized voucher that you can print or retain within your smart phones email application.  The Counter Connection Voucher has redemption instructions and a map right on it!

If I don’t use the full value of the Counter Connection Voucher in one visit, can I use the remainder later?

No. Unless otherwise stated you do not receive store credit or cash back for whatever you don’t use. Bring a friend – share a little!

Can I combine my Counter Connection Voucher with other offers or specials?

No… not unless the Counter Connection Voucher specifically states otherwise.

Is Counter Connection safe?

Extremely. Your credit card number is transmitted by SSL directly to a secure electronic vault. At no time is your credit card information stored on our servers.

Can I return a Counter Connection Voucher?

The Counter Connection Promise: if we ever let you down, we’ll return your purchase—simple as that. Why? Because when we do a bad job, we want it to be easy for you to punish us. We believe that when a customer has a bad experience, companies pay for it sooner or later—so we’d rather pay fast so we can make things right before its too late. We never want to be at war with our customers, so more freedom and trust for our customers.

However, if you’re that person that buys many Counter Connection Vouchers and tries to get refunds for all of them, we’re obviously going to know and prevent you from ever purchasing another Counter Connection Voucher.  As you know, we’re not the merchant, so while we’ll accept a return if you feel like we did something that let you down, we’re still not legally responsible if you are injured or killed using your Counter Connection Vouchers. In other words, Counter Connection is a deal portal and nothing more.

What happens if my Counter Connection Voucher expires?

All is not lost! Once a Counter Connection Voucher reaches its expiration date, it loses its promotional value, but you can still redeem it at the price you paid for the length of time stated by gift certificate laws in your province or state.

What if the business for my Counter Connection Voucher closes down?

If anything happens that makes it impossible for you to redeem your Counter Connection Voucher, we’ll make sure you get your money back.

When will Counter Connection be in my city?

We are planning to expand the retail network to Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Atlanta and more in the near future.

Where is Counter Connection based?

Counter Connection is owned and operated by RT7 Incorporated which is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  We also have employees and offices in New York City and as we expand, will have employees and offices in each city we expand to.
